The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A representative for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of claims about questionable actions directed at women.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
